No Mo' Political Posts

Until the election, I am going to refrain from commenting on politics. I shall also refrain from reading political commentary about the latest polls, gaffes, etc. I am focusing on praying the daily prayers of the Nineveh Journey, and, speaking personally as one who can easily fall into 'political junkie-ism', I think one of the best ways to approach God with a clean heart is to leave the chatter and speculation behind, and simply beseech the Lord that His Will be done for our nation.
In this spirit, I am happy to post the litany to my patron saint, Sir Thomas More, about which the new bishop of Wilmington, DE just issued this excellent pastoral letter.

Let us pray:
O Glorious St. Thomas More, Patron of Statesmen, Politicians, Judges and Lawyers, your life of prayer and penance and your zeal for justice, integrity and firm principle in public and family life led you to the path of martyrdom and sainthood. Intercede for our Statesmen, Politicians, Judges and Lawyers, that they may be courageous and effective in their defense and promotion of the sanctity of human life - the foundation of all other human rights. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
